Card scanning

Scanning is the fastest way to add cards. Point your camera at a card, CollectHolo recognizes it, and you add it to your collection in a tap.

How it works

Open the scanner, frame a single card, and confirm the match. You can scan with your camera in the iOS app, or use your browser's camera or a photo upload on the web. If you would rather search by picture without adding anything, use image search in Explore, which uses the same engine.

What it reads

Scanning picks up the card name, number, and set, detects the language (including English, German, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese) and the variant, and reads graded slabs: it recognizes the grading company (PSA, BGS, CGC), the grade, and the certification number.

Scan limits

Free accounts can scan 25 cards per day, and PRO accounts can scan 500 per day. The daily count resets at midnight UTC. See PRO & Billing to raise your limit.

Tips for good scans

• Use even lighting and avoid glare on the card or slab.
• Scan one card at a time; a binder page or a stack will be rejected.
• Hold steady so the image is sharp, not blurry.
• Scanning is for single cards. Sealed products, playmats, and sleeves are not recognized.
