Use the CollectHolo Discord bot

The CollectHolo Discord bot answers Pokémon price questions inside Discord: card and sealed prices with /price, set values with /set, the biggest movers with /trending and a random card with /random. It is free and needs no CollectHolo account. This page lists every command and option. For an overview, examples and the price table per card language, see the Discord bot page.

Add the bot

• Add to a server: everyone on the server can use the commands. You need the Manage Server permission there. The bot only asks for Embed Links.
• Add to my apps: installs the bot on your own Discord account. Use it in DMs, group DMs and servers that allow external apps, without admin rights.

In Discord the bot is called CollectHolo.com.

/price card

Shows the prices of a single card.

• name (required): start typing a card name and number, for example Charizard ex 199. Suggestions appear after 2 characters and show the language flag, set, number and rarity. If you send text without picking a suggestion, the bot uses the best match.
• language (optional): English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean or Chinese (Simplified Chinese cards). If you leave it empty, the bot uses the server's default language or the language of the card you picked. For Japanese, Korean and Chinese cards, set the language first, then search.

The reply shows prices for that card language, the Cardmarket price change over 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, and a link to the card page.

/price sealed

Works like /price card for booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, booster packs and other sealed products, for example Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box. Product names are in English. Sealed products show marketplace prices without PSA 10.

/set

• name (required): the set, for example Surging Sparks.
• language (optional): the same 8 languages as /price.

The reply shows the set value on Cardmarket (plus TCGplayer for English and Japanese sets and CardTrader for Italian sets), the change over 7 and 30 days, the release date and card count, the five most valuable cards with links, the total value of the set’s sealed products and a link to the set page. Each of the five cards also shows its PSA 10 value.

/trending

Shows the 10 biggest price movers from the leaderboard. All options are optional:

• type: Cards or Sealed (default Cards). Sealed movers cover the English and German markets.
• direction: Top gainers or Top fallers (default Top gainers).
• period: 7, 30 or 90 days (default 30 days).
• language: the English, German or Japanese market (default: the server setting or English).
• era: All, Vintage (1996-2003), Modern (2004-2019) or Ultra Modern (2020+) (default Ultra Modern).

/random

No options. Picks a random Pokémon card from the CollectHolo catalog and shows it like /price card, in the same currency as /price.

/help

No options. Lists the commands, plus links to the Discord bot page and to this guide. Only you see the reply.

/settings (server admins)

Available on servers where the bot is installed. By default only members with the Manage Server permission can use it; server admins can change that under Server Settings, Integrations. Only the person who typed the command sees the replies.

• /settings currency: EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, PLN, SEK, DKK, NOK, CAD, AUD, JPY, CNY, SGD or AED (default EUR).
• /settings language: the default card language on this server for /price, /set and /random, and the default market for /trending.
• /settings show: the current settings.

In DMs, and when you use a personal install on a server that has not added the bot, prices are shown in euros.

Which prices you see

Every card language gets its Cardmarket price. English cards add TCGplayer, Japanese cards add TCGplayer and SNKRDUNK, Italian cards add CardTrader, and single cards in every language show a PSA 10 value. Sealed products show marketplace prices only. The table per language is on the Discord bot page. Prices update daily. A ~ in front of a price marks an estimate, and N/A means there is no current price from that marketplace. More on our sources: Data & pricing.

Limits and who sees the answers

• 5 lookups per minute per person and 60 per minute per server, /settings included. Suggestions while you type and /help do not count.
• Answers to /price, /set, /trending and /random are posted in the channel for everyone.
• Only visible to you: limit notices, "No card found" and similar replies from the search, and the replies to /settings and /help.
• If the bot cannot finish a command, for example when prices are briefly unavailable, the note replaces the loading message in the channel.

Troubleshooting

• The commands don't show up. Your role needs the Use Application Commands permission in that channel. Ask a server admin, or use Add to my apps.
• Discord says the server has too many integrations. Remove an app the server no longer uses, then add the bot again.
• Only I can see the answer. You are using a personal install on a server that does not allow external apps, it is a limit or search message, or it is the reply to /settings or /help, which only you see.
• "No card found". Check the spelling, add the card number, and for Japanese, Korean or Chinese cards set the language before you search.
• Prices are in the wrong currency. A server admin can change it with /settings currency. In DMs prices are in euros.
• "Prices are unavailable right now". Send the command again in a minute.
• "The application did not respond". Send the command again after a moment.
• The bot shows as offline. That is expected. The bot answers slash commands without staying online in the member list. Type a command and it replies.

Privacy

The bot does not store your Discord user ID. Daily counts of the commands used per server are stored under a pseudonym and deleted after 13 months. Server settings are kept until an admin sets them back to EUR and English, the bot is removed from the server, or a server admin asks us to delete them (contact). Full details: privacy policy.
