Portfolio

Your portfolio is where you track the cards and sealed products you own, what they are worth, and what you paid for them.

Adding items

There are four ways to add to your portfolio:

• Find a card or sealed product through Explore & search, in any of the four games, and add it.
• Use Bulk Import to paste a text list, upload a CSV, or scan cards into the review flow.
• Scan a card with your camera in the iPhone or Android app, or in your browser.
• Add a custom item for anything that is not in the catalog: give it a name and an icon, and enter what you paid and what it is worth. Custom items count toward the free item limit.

When you add an item you can set the quantity, the print where a card has several (for example Reverse Holofoil, Alt Art or Cold Foil), the condition (for raw cards: Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, Heavily Played, Damaged; for slabs: the grading company, such as PSA, BGS, CGC or TAG, and the grade), the language and country, what you paid and when, and optional notes.

Organizing your collection

Keep things tidy with several tools. Split your items across multiple collections (for example by language or by goal), add color tags (PRO), and use the duplicate detector (PRO) to spot the same card listed more than once. The accordion filters let you narrow by condition, graded status, sealed, language, set, rarity, and more, and you can bulk-edit several items at once.

Value and history

Each item is valued from real market data for its exact variant and condition, in your chosen display currency. The overview shows your total value and how it breaks down. If you know a card's value better than the market, you can set a manual price override (free accounts get up to 5; PRO removes the limit). PRO members can also value their portfolio at the Cardmarket prices of their own country.

PRO members can also value their portfolio by recent sales or with SNKRDUNK prices for Japanese cards.

CollectHolo saves your portfolio value for every valuation option every day, so if you switch later, your history still shows the right value for each day.

Transactions and selling

Record buys and sells to keep an accurate cost basis. When you sell something, mark it as sold so it moves out of your holdings and into your sales history. The Profit view shows your total profit, revenue, cost and number of sales; detailed sales analytics and the Performance dashboard (realized and unrealized gains, top movers, and more) are PRO. Costs: when you add a card, a sealed product or a purchase, you can enter the shipping and pick the currency you paid in. Both are free for everyone. With PRO you can also track what else your collection costs:

• Additional costs on a purchase, such as grading fees or customs. Add them when you add a card, a sealed product or a purchase, with Edit purchase in the Transactions tab, or later with Add cost under Edit holding, then Purchase Details. They count toward the item's cost basis and profit, and toward your profit when you sell it.
• General costs for a whole portfolio, such as accessories or a trip to an event. Use Add cost in the Transactions tab; they show up there as their own rows.
• Cost categories sort your costs. Start with Grading fees, Accessories, Opened products, Customs & taxes, Events & travel and Other, or create your own. Each category has a Count in cost basis switch.

Counted costs are part of your total cost basis, your profit and your value chart, and the Performance dashboard breaks them down by category. Turning a category off updates your cost basis and chart history. Sales you already recorded keep their profit. To remove a category's amounts from your history, turn it off before deleting it.

To move a cost between a purchase and a portfolio, delete it and add it again. To move a cost from a purchase to the whole portfolio, delete it and add it again on the same day, dated that day, so your value chart does not count it twice. If you delete a general cost and add it back, keep its original date so your value chart counts it from the same day again. If you tracked expenses as a custom item, delete the item and add the cost on the same day, dated that day, so your value chart does not count it twice.

Orders and pre-orders

Track what you have ordered but not received yet, including pre-orders. Add an order with its products, price, shipping and fees, and an expected delivery date. Ordered items don't count toward your portfolio value until you confirm the delivery; partial deliveries work too, and CollectHolo reminds you when a delivery is due. Creating orders is a PRO feature.

Smart Portfolios

Smart Portfolios are auto-updating groups built from rules you define, such as “all Charizards“ or “everything from Base Set in Near Mint.“ New items that match a rule are added automatically. Smart Portfolios are a PRO feature.

Import and export

Import from a text list, CSV file, or Card Scan with Bulk Import: free accounts can import up to 500 rows at a time, PRO accounts have no row limit. You can export your portfolio to CSV at any time, and PRO members can also export their transactions. Your data is yours.

Free vs PRO: free accounts can track up to 500 items in their collection, counted across all games and portfolios, and record shipping on every purchase. PRO removes that limit and unlocks detailed profit analytics, the Performance dashboard, color tags, the duplicate detector, Smart Portfolios, orders, transaction export, and additional and general costs with cost categories.
