Trade Finder
The Trade Finder helps you find other collectors who have cards you want and want cards you have. It matches your public wishlists against other users' public collections, and vice versa.
How it works
- Enable Trade Finder in your profile settings or on the Trade Finder page.
- Make your collections and wishlists public. Go to Portfolio Settings to make a collection public and enable trading. Go to Wishlist Settings to make a wishlist public.
- Set trade preferences per collection. You can enable or disable trading for each collection individually. Within a collection, you can also mark individual cards as “Not for trade” or set a specific trade quantity (e.g., trade 2 out of 4 copies).
- Browse your matches. The Trade Finder will show you other users ranked by match score. A higher score means more overlapping cards.
- Start a chat with a matched user (PRO feature) to discuss the trade.
- Propose a trade by selecting the cards to exchange and choosing a fulfillment method.
Matching
The matching algorithm considers multiple dimensions:
- Card variant (Holofoil, Reverse Holofoil, 1st Edition, etc.) — hard filter when specified in wishlist
- Language (English, German, Japanese, etc.) — hard filter when specified
- Condition (Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, etc.) — matches equal or better condition
- Grading (PSA, BGS grades) — hard filter when specified
- Bidirectional matches get a 2x score bonus — both users have something the other wants
Chat & Trading
Chat is a PRO feature that lets you communicate with your trade matches in real time. You can send text messages and card condition photos directly in the chat.
When you're ready, propose a trade by selecting the cards from both sides and choosing how you want to fulfill it (in person or by mail).
Safety & Trust
Important: Trading is at your own risk.
- Always check your trading partner's reputation and completed trades
- Use tracked shipping when sending cards by mail
- Upload card condition photos to avoid disputes
- Both parties must confirm receipt to complete a trade
- You can block and report users who behave inappropriately
- When in doubt, don't trade
Reputation
After a trade is completed (both parties confirmed receipt), you can rate your trading partner from 1 to 5 stars and leave a comment. Ratings are public and help other users decide whether to trade with someone.
- You can only rate completed trades
- One rating per trade per user
- Rating window: 30 days after trade completion
- New accounts must be at least 7 days old to use Trade Finder
Card Condition Photos
PRO users can upload up to 6 photos per card in their portfolio to document the condition. These photos are visible on public collections and can be sent in trade chats. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC. Maximum 10MB per image.
